Purposeful play.

This is both tautological and oxymoronic. It raises seriously philosophical questions. The purpose of play by definition of amusement. Therefore it is purposeful, but it's purpose is pre-determined and constant.

Assuming that play has a purpose other than amusement gets us into difficulties with the fact that by definition it is no longer play, it is work.

The former gives a tautology, the latter an oxymoron.

This phrase is interesting. I should return to it later...

The 'Absolute Reality' may not be aware of any act of creation. 'It' may exist in a non-volitional state of being just as we do. No thought of 'to be or not to be' (or to do or not to do) having ever been entertained. The mysteries of 'Is-ness' or 'Am-ness' would not then be particular to the human situation alone, perhaps 'God' wonders too. He did say, according to Judeo/Christian scripture, in Genesis or Exodus I believe - 'I am that I am'. That's fairly imprecise. Wasn't that what Popeye, the Sailor Man said - 'I yam what I yam' or something like?
