06/11/2005: "A promise, a word"

I told you it would happen, and I told you I would be doing all I can to make it happen. It will, and I am. Now I don't know when and I don't know where, and I know it sounds like it will be never and nowhere. But for the same reason that I can't forget, for the same reason it will happen. Can you believe it? I know you probably don't, although you probably want to. I know you want to. But I know that all the times when you've been told it would happen by someone who left, it didn't. But although you've got no way of knowing it will happen, or of knowing that I mean it, it will and I do. Now yet why aren't there any signs of it happening soon? Maybe because I doubt you still believe I will happen, or that I will make it happen because I said I would, as opposed to because I have to if I am to ever see you again. But take my word, as you did then. It will happen.
